{"id":2047,"date":"2024-03-07T08:46:45","date_gmt":"2024-03-07T00:46:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tasmanianclub.org.au\/cms\/?page_id=2047"},"modified":"2025-09-24T16:05:44","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T06:05:44","slug":"dress-code","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tasmanianclub.org.au\/cms\/about-us\/dress-code\/","title":{"rendered":"Tasmanian Club Dress Code for Members, Reciprocal Members and Guests"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>To maintain the Club\u2019s distinguished ambience, appropriate attire is required.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><br \/><strong>Gentlemen<\/strong><br \/>Members, male reciprocal members and male guests are expected to wear a suit or a jacket, collared tailored business shirt, tailored trousers, socks and conservative footwear. <br \/>Ties are preferred but not required. <br \/>Gentlemen may wear casual attire while entering and leaving the Club whilst staying in the Club\u2019s accommodation. <\/p>\n<p><strong>In the following situations jackets may be removed.<\/strong><br \/>At particular functions where permission is given by the responsible member or host. Jackets must be worn when leaving those areas.<br \/>Members and guests playing billiards or snooker in the billiard room or using the adjacent bathroom.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ladies<\/strong><br \/>Ladies are expected to wear refined attire that reflects the Club\u2019s formality and sense of occasion. Footwear must be conservative, matching the overall dress standard. <br \/>Ladies may wear casual attire while entering and leaving the Club whilst staying in the Club\u2019s accommodation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Club Business<\/strong><br \/>Members attending the Club for short periods on Club business may wear casual attire.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Private Functions and Club Events<\/strong><br \/>At all times members and guests are bound by the Club&#8217;s specified dress code for functions and events such as black tie or jacket and tie. The Clubs dress code requirements may be relaxed for specified functions and events by prior arrangement with the Secretary Manager.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weekends &amp; Public Holidays<\/strong><br \/>From 5pm Friday until 10am Monday and on Public Holidays smart casual attire may be worn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>National Dress<\/strong><br \/>Exceptions to this dress code may be made for members and guests wishing to wear national dress (including a kilt) or military uniform and medals to Club functions or events where appropriate or specified.<\/p>\n<h2>Smart Casual<\/h2>\n<p>Smart casual means a tailored shirt, tailored trousers with jacket and tie not required:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To maintain the Club\u2019s distinguished ambience, appropriate attire is required.
